OCEAN POTION, MECHANIXWEAR AND FRAM/AUTOLITE 
RENEW PRODUCT SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR 2008 SEASON

Key Motorsports is proud to announce that Ocean Potion Skin Care Products, Mechanixwear, FRAM Filters and Autolite Spark Plugs are the first companies to renew their product support programs for the 2008 NASCAR race season.  

The Ocean Potion Sun & Skin Care product line is manufactured by Sun & Skin Care Research, Inc. of Cocoa, Florida.

Boasting a comprehensive, well-balanced line of products that are all manufactured in the company’s Cocoa, Florida headquarters, Sun & Skin Care Research, Inc. is making a huge impact in the sun and skin care marketplace. The company’s Ocean Potion product line-up is one of the country’s fastest growing to tan, protect and moisturize the skin of adults and children.

The Ocean Potion product line today features items for tanning, protective sun screening and moisturizing and is divided into five specific categories. These categories are Face & Lips, Sport, Kids & Baby, Tanning and After Sun. Ocean Potion products can be purchased at many leading drug and department stores as well as on line at www.oceanpotion.com .

Mechanixwear provides a variety of products for Key Motorsports crewmen to use in the race shop and at the race track and includes such items as gloves, knee  pads, pit shoes and travel bags. The Valencia, California based company has been a mainstay in the racing community for years that all started with its popular and very versatile protective glove line.

Crew members will also wear Mechanixwear rain coats and use umbrellas during rainy days at the track as part of the Mechanixwear-Key Motorsports partnership.

Supplying the spark for the Key Motorsports engines in 2008 will again be Autolite Spark Plugs, while sister company FRAM will be supplying the air and oil filters. Both are now Honeywell companies.

With the new engine requirements that NASCAR has established for the 2008 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, spark plug needs have also changed. AUTOLITE provides these various plugs for both practice days and test sessions and different surface gap plugs for race day.

Various sized air filters are also used with certain motors on certain sized race tracks so FRAM is responsible for providing the required numbers for both the air and oil filters.  

In 2007, Key Motorsports boasted support from 17 product manufacturers and is close to duplicating that number this coming season. Additional announcements will be made shortly.

“The cost of racing today continues to escalate, so whatever we can do to reduce the amount of out-of-pocket expenditures the better,” said Rich Rubenstein, Key Motorsports’ Vice President of Operations.

Therefore, we have been fortunate to have the support of some excellent companies over the last two seasons that also produce some of the finest products in their respective categories. To have these companies renew with us for another season shows that these partnerships are working,” Rubenstein added.
