KEY MOTORSPORTS CHEVROLET RALLYS FOR 27TH AT 
MICHIGAN INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

MOORESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (June 17, 2008) – With Westerman Companies at the helm of sponsor for their second race this season, the #40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet rallied to produced yet another strong showing at the Cool City Customs 200 at Michigan International Speedway.

Despite having a steady run which resulted in a 27th place finish, one position best their starting position, #40 team gained a spot in the owner standings moving from 29th to 28th. In a race marred with its share of drama and excitement, the Key Motorsports team had its own drama and excitement stemming from horsepower deficit. Chad Chaffin drove the Key Motorsports Chevrolet as high as a Top 5 showing within the race before having engine trouble.08mi4.jpg (172010 bytes)

“We obviously did not get the results that we were looking for, but I was very pleased with the handling of the truck and the way it drove,” says driver Chad Chaffin. “I was also very please with the improvements in which we made in other key areas such as pit stops. I felt that we had a Top 10 truck at Michigan, and I know over the next few weeks we will be working on getting some of the kinks out to display our showing. We are definitely in the building process.” “We ran all day and brought it back in one piece,” echoed Crew Chief Lance Hooper. “Despite our engine troubles, we had a good run throughout the race.”

With a drive to give Key Motorsports a strong result, the team has its sights set on the Toyota Tundra 200 this weekend at the Milwaukee Mile. The #40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet will be driven by Paul Poulter with Chad Chaffin mentoring.
