KEY MOTORSPORTS LOOKING FOR STRONG RUN AT
MILWAUKEE MILE WITH PAUL POULTER AT THE HELM
MOORESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (June 18, 2008) – Key Motorsports is looking to continue their steady showing in the Toyota Tundra 200 at the Milwaukee Mile this weekend.
With a 27th place finish in last weeks’ Michigan 200 at Michigan International Speedway, which dropped the team two spots in the standing, the team looks to bounce back this week with a strong run. This weekend’s #40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet will be piloted by British phenomenon Paul Poulter.
With over 24 years of experience and championships under his belt, Poulter has dominated the European race market taking command of short track oval racing. His many championships include the 1995 and 2004 Superstox - European & British Championship, as well as the 2005 and 2006 Pickup Truck Racing Championship.
Poulter, a native of Surrey, is looking forward to competing with Key Motorsports this week at Milwaukee. “I am looking forward to a good run and getting the truck back in one piece, as well as logging in good lap times and gain more experience,” states Poulter. “Key Motorsports is such a professional team which supplies good equipment and
has a great group of very experienced guys. I like the boys on this team, they are really good.”
Crew Chief Lance Hooper is also looking forward to Milwaukee, and running with Paul Poulter. “We had a successful test in Lakeland, FL with Paul. He has a lot of truck control and I am looking forward to seeing what he can do on the track.”
Current Key Motorsports driver Chad Chaffin will serve in the role of mentor to Poulter this weekend. “Paul is trying to get established in NASCAR and this is a great opportunity for him. With a second place finish at Milwaukee, I will be there to teach Paul what I know and help guide him through the weekend.”
With the teaming of the very impressive Paul Poulter and the mentorship of veteran driver Chad Chaffin, this weekend will sure to be yet another success for Key Motorsports and the #40 Chevrolet.
