Key Motorsports Returns To Phoenix With Scott Wimmer

The Key Motorsports No. 40 StopRepairBills.com Chevrolet returns to the track this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway for the Able Body Labor 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race with Scott Wimmer behind the wheel.

The combination of the hardworking Key Motorsports team and Scott Wimmer in the driver's seat has produced a consistent effort throughout the 2009 season with the organization having solid runs the past two races at Memphis and Texas. . Wimmer qualified the Key Motorsports Chevrolet on the outside pole at Memphis and finished 7th in the Kroger On Track For The Cure 250 before making a 14th place run in the O'Reilly Challenge at the Texas Motor Speedway last weekend. Key Motorsports is currently 22nd in NASCAR Nationwide Series owner points.

The Wisconsin native is looking forward to returning to the Phoenix International Raceway this weekend, a track where he tasted victory in 2002. Wimmer has earned two top-five finishes and four top-10 finishes in his seven starts at Phoenix in NASCAR Nationwide Series competition.

"I'm looking forward to a good run in the No. 40 StopRepairBills.com Chevrolet at Phoenix this weekend." Wimmer said. "We have had some good, strong runs in the past few races and I am looking forward to bringing that energy to Phoenix."

Crew chief Gary Showalter is equally as excited to return to PIR. Earlier this year the team earned a top-20 finish there and Showalter hopes to improve on that this weekend.

"I am looking forward to Phoenix," Showalter said. "We have been working extremely hard all season and it is beginning to pay off here lately. This Key Motorsports crew certainly has all the right ingredients to really make something happen this weekend."
